I
have been competing at the hunter jumper shows for more than 25 years. My
riding experience and training is based on my years at the race track as a
groom and exercise rider, and as student of Ase Halsten-Thalen, Sweden’s
top Grand Prix rider for four years. It was from Ase that I have honed my
show jumping skills and learned what it takes to reach for that highest
level of competition.
In addition, I have to fortunate to work with many of the top trainers here in the Valley, who have helped, pushed and guided me on my journey to become a better competitor and horsewomen. I am currently studying to become a USEF-certified instructor.
Laurette Harris offers riding instruction/lessons for beginner to advanced students, with emphasis on correct proper balance and communication with your horse. Basic horsemanship skills and safety are highly stressed.
